What A Glorious Day!

Seeing the sun shining in a clear sky inspired me mow the lawn and tidy up the garden. As I was walking up to my shed at the top of the garden for the tools, I heard the cry of a solitary buzzard, looking skyward I saw it glide into a tree about two hundred yards away, a little later I saw and heard it’s mate circling overhead. That was the start of my day.

 

Partway through my chores my wife Eileen and I were invited by our neighbour Sue to join her for a coffee. As we relaxed enjoying the refreshments I was reminded by Sue that the local magpie population had increased due to a second or possibly third brood due to the good summer. Although I was aware of the increase, work commitments had prevented me from addressing the issue. We talked tactics to prevent a population boom next year over a coffee laced with whiskey. That put paid to any further gardening and set the scene for the rest of the day.

 

 

Returning to our own garden I broke out the bottle of white rum and a coke mixer, Eileen and I duly sat down to enjoy the sunshine. A little later we invited Sue to join us for refreshments including freshly grilled home grown sweet corn on the cob. The afternoon quickly passed with a mix of banter and serious conversation.

 

Apart from the shear rubbish we discussed, I now have sanction from Eileen to build a man cave in the garden equipped with the best machinery, buy the car of my dreams and also buy any air rifle of my choosing.

 

As I write this the effects of the alcohol are wearing off, I just hope Eileen feels the same in the morning when we are both sober!

Steve this is why a MAN invented the video camera, so us MEN could record what the other sex has agreed to. Now this could be because the woman is tipsy, or happy because you have brought her a present, or rembered her birthday the list goes on and on. Who was it that invented the "camera/phone" and why. It was some oriental MAN so us MEN would have easy access to a video rather than have to rumage for a video only to find the battery is flat. Can you see a pattern appearing here? GET IT RECORDED.
